Telemedicine

Urgent Care of Mercer County understands that some patients may be unable to leave their homes at this time. In order to get the diagnosis and care you need, our urgent care center is now offering visits over Telemedicine for a number of conditions and symptoms. Appointments take place over video chat and are accepted seven days a week.

What Telemedicine Can Assess

Telemedicine can be used to diagnose and treat many of the same conditions as a traditional urgent care visit, though there are some exceptions. Certain injuries and care will require an in-person visit to our center, which is open seven days a week. Some visits that can be done via Telemedicine include:

  • Mild to moderate allergy symptoms and reactions
  • Rashes including poison ivy
  • Cold
  • Sore throat
  • Eye infections and styes
  • Ear infections and earaches
  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Upper respiratory symptoms

Symptoms that cannot be treated over Telemedicine will require an in-person visit. These include:

  • Physical examinations for school, sports or work
  • Chest pain
  • STDs and STIs (must visit center for testing)
  • Pregnancy or birth control advice
  • Occupational health visits
  • Wound care

How can I make a Telemedicine appointment?

You can make a Telemedicine appointment over the phone. It takes only a few short minutes, and then you will be texted a link for the call at your designated time.
