Sports at a young age helps children get into healthy eating habits, learn correct diet & exercise ext. Cuts, Gashes & stitches
Contact sports have a higher chance of getting injuries such as cuts & gashes. At Urgent Care of Mercer County, our physicians will do the following steps:
- Clean the wound
- Assess if stitches are needed
- Apply the stitches
- Have you in recovery as soon as possible
We treat non-life threatening gashes & cuts if your child has a cut on the neck, head, eye, or genitals please take them to the nearest emergency room.
If our physicians feel your child may have a break or contusion, they will recommend an X-ray just to make sure everything is okay. Our x-rays are fast & efficient! We won’t keep you waiting for hours like a typical ER would.
Breaks, bone bruises
Bone breaks are unfortunate but should not be taken lightly. A break, believe it or not, can actually be overlooked if it is minor. We can treat:
